Conducting Conversations: Respectful & Goal-oriented Communication
Übersicht

Do you see potential for improvement in your collaboration with colleagues or team members and don't know how to address this constructively? Do you perceive unclear expectations, tensions, or conflicting goals and want to discuss them to better understand and resolve them?
Whether in discussions to clarify expectations, give feedback, or offer criticism, communication often lacks a common understanding of what has been said and the respective intentions of the conversation partners.
In the workshop “Conducting Conversations: Respectful & Goal-oriented Communication,” you will learn how to communicate more effectively in the future and successfully represent your interests and goals.

Critical conversation situations require you to examine your own communication behavior and select the appropriate conversation strategy and communication tools. That is why this workshop begins by reflecting on your own communication behavior and conversation situations that you consider difficult. You will learn a conversation guide for conducting conversations and try out the techniques taught using your own cases and real-life examples. The focus is on active listening and constructive feedback.
By continuously working on your own conversational situations, you will return to your everyday work life with concrete strategies for your upcoming conversations.
You will reflect on your experiences with implementing these strategies in a half-day follow-up session with the other participants and the trainer. Here, you will develop further ideas for successful conversation in challenging situations or deepen your knowledge of other aspects of communication (e.g., meeting design, communication in employee appraisals or in hierarchical (sandwich) constellations).
